What is TrustLevel about?
(Our Gitbook documentation is still under construction. We will add more content over time.)
TrustLevel was born out of a necessity to create a transparent and verifiable reputation infrastructure. In today's fast-paced digital world, where individuals and institutions are confronted with an ever-increasing flood of information, trust is critically important. Often the information we see is fragmented, incomplete or influenced by personal biases, making it difficult to know what information to trust. The ability to assess the reliability and trustworthiness of participants, processes and data is more important than ever.
As blockchain technologies redefine many industries—whether in decentralized finance (DeFi), governance, real-world asset tokenization, healthcare and many more—we envision a future where trust is not only measurable but also transparent, decentralized and privacy-focused. Our goal is to build a trust infrastructure that works across industries, making reputation a key factor in decision-making and opens up new opportunities for innovations.
At the core of TrustLevel is our Reputation-based Evaluation Protocol (REP), which aims to bridge the gap between objective data and subjective information to provide reliable and verifiable evaluations. By combining crowdsourced peer reviews, oracles and AI-powered analysis, TrustLevel ensures that both objective facts and subjective insights are incorporated into our reputation assessments. This enables users to navigate complex ecosystems with confidence, relying on a system that balances privacy, transparency and trustworthiness, regardless of industry or use case.
On the following pages, we will first look at the challenges that a reputation system must overcome to generate real added value:
Information overload in the digital age
Subjectivity in information
Balancing transparency and privacy in reputation systems
